Uphall Estates Ltd propose a mixed-use development including residential, commercial, park and ride site, solar voltaic array and associated works at land east of Station road, Uphall, West Lothian.

An online live question and answer session is to be held here from 2pm to 6pm, Friday 17th July 2020.

This will be a live question and answer session (not video) and frequently asked questions and answers will be displayed to assist.

We welcome your views on the proposed development.  In particular, we welcome comments on the following: 

  • Do you support the principle of development being proposed?
  • Are you in favour of new homes being provided?
  • Do you support a range of homes as proposed, i.e. apartments, terraced, semi-detached and detached homes with a mix of private sale, private rent and affordable rent?
  • Do you support the proposed additional Park & Ride car park for Uphall Station?
  • Do you support the provision of local facilities as proposed (ground-floor space for local workspace, retail, café, nursery etc)?
  • Do you support the provision of a cycle hub with changing facilities, locker hire, maintenance and parking?
  • Do you support the proposals for ground-mounted solar panels on the Stankards Bing site to provide an energy source for the proposed development?
  • Do you support the provision of a new footpath across Stankards Bing connecting the A89 and core path?

Comments are invited by Friday 31st July and will be considered in the finalisation of proposals.

There will be an opportunity to make formal representations to the Council following once a planning application is lodged.
